Aww philosophical Pucky, always the deep thinker! “What are your dreams?” “To represent the jar of Christmas lights in all of us,” “You’re the biggest spoon.” I love the personal interest Puck puts into his reporting.
For philosophical Puck, it’s not just the destination on top of the deskretarial but the climbing journey-at which he excels-that matters. He doesn’t just report that the ceiling cats are stampeding, he wonders at their dreams which might cause the BANG, thump, thump, thump, smash. Puck is a deep and gentle soul-who can climb like nobody’s business.
I wonder if there is going to be any new footage from this report? The original only has one more days worth of panels, but perhaps we will get to see more of the ceiling cats this time around.
Pucky is a little zenkitty! Wouldn’t it be cute to show him on top of a "mountain"ous deskretarial, dressed as a yogi, dispensing wisdom with practiced calm, to theclimbing, struggling, seekers? >^.,.^<
I wonder: People who have gone through severe, life threatening trauma often have a different viewpoint than most (though often concealed). It tends to make us look deeper into things. Puck has had such an experience, as has our 8-ball. Both are quiet, introspective, and philosophical in attitude (except about crunchies, i.e., kibble.) Animals can experience PTSD (and probably handle it better than humans). I wonder if the recovery effect is the same, or similar.
Yet more evidence that our definition of sentience is seriously flawed. Then again, what would you expect from a species (us) that exhibits so little of it?
I think Sooti and Sunny are taking inspiration from the ceiling cats today. They are racing through the house right now. They just did a lap up onto the bed and then out the door.
I go through this a lot. All of a sudden, one of my boys will decide he needs to get from one end of the trailer to the other, and, often as not, the other will give choice. One of these days, I’m going to record it and sell it for sound effects to animation studios.

I imagine puck with the smooth voice of Frasier Crane, saying “I’m listening….”

Puck in his little jammies, with that wee tuft of white floof… Too precious.

Even in his jammies, Puck can still climb to the top of the bookshelf nearest the ceiling!

Adorable as ever sweet Pucky :)
And Lupin’s face in panel 4, he doesn’t seem to know how he should take Puck’s inner psychic

so did something fall from the ceiling and splatter Lupin’s pjs? They have quite a bit more spots in the 4th panel than in the 1st.

Puck’s up on the secretarial thingie – that weighs how many pounds? 1000? and is as delicate as baby birds’ wings – again.

I love how Georgia has written the “CRASH” from yesterday and the “BANG” from today’s strips. It’s almost animated.

Good morning, fellow BCN orbsters and orbabies! Puck is indeed a gentle, perceptive soul trying to sense the hopes and dreams of the ceiling cats!

Getting to know mew
Must be at least ten of you
Getting to like mew
Getting to know of your dreams
Climbing and running
Listening to you and wond’ring
All of your thund’ring
What does it mean?
Getting to know mew
Running above the ceiling
When we do meet you,
Getting to know what to say
It won’t be boring
I really have that feeling
Because of all the running that you do
And the lamps that fall too,
Every day!

Seriously good idea. Only those of us with catly experience really know how they sound.
