Despite what the movies depicted, this is about the size of a full-grown velociraptor. So, perhaps he should be more concerned with “where is the rest of the pack” rather than “where is mama?”
People are unaware that the majority of the reptiles were not much larger than dogs, cats, and sometimes deer. The reptile that he is speaking with could very well be an adult.

To be continued…at top speed, with a lot of dodging back and forth. I hope he finds a cave to hide in before mama dinosaur catches up with him.

He really is adorable. I bet he will be quite the handsome lad when he grows up.

Expect to hear an agitated “GRONK!” any time now…

The ‘pack’ might be what brought on the gulp. He realizes he may be on the way to becoming the early version of kibble

Oh, yeah. Oooh, ahhh, that’s how it always starts. Then later there’s running and um, screaming.

We were swimming in the Bluff Springs gravel lakes. (Lakes left behind after extracting sand and gravel.)
My son noticed 4 baby gators watching us . He swam after them, hoping to catch one.
“Son. Leave those gators alone!”
“They’re just babies, Daddy.”
“BABIES GOT MAMAS.”
He survived. (I did just as badly at his age by catching a wild hog’s pig. The piney woods rooter sow was not amused and tried to kill me.)
