Wow! My older two have said the same thing word for word to me or their mother. The result was the same. My five year old, who is built like an interior lineman and is stronger than his older brother, will be hulking. I hope he won’t be too surly. I do know that no one will like him if he gets angry and doesn’t have self restraint.
When I was about 16 my Mom tried to tell me what to do and I was in a joking mood, so I walked over to her and picked her up and carried her over to a chair and sat her down on it. Then I said, it was a good thing I loved and respected her, because she couldn’t make me do what she wanted, I chose to do it and I always have even 35 years later.
I still like to think the creator of Frazz is actually Calvin as an adult (even though the creator confirmed it’s not related in any way). My head-canon is Frazz is Calvin’s last name and he found an outlet for his creativity, making him be more cool and mellow as an adult, and more popular with the kids because of his child-like wonder in his heart.
Watch it Calvin, my mother once told my oldest brother that he was never too old or too big for a bare-butt spanking. He continued to lip off and the next thing he knew, his six-foot body was across her 5’4" frame, jeans down and he was getting whacked. We were all amused, including his friends but didn’t dare laugh or we knew we would be next. You did not mess with the “Dragon Lady”.

Maybe you will be a hulking teenager someday Calvin, but not yet. In the meantime shut your yap and go to sleep.

You don’t have to do what anybody says. There are consequences with some people, of course.

And you’ll pick out Mom and Dad’s old age home. But hopefully you’ll have forgotten all this by then.

Calvin, sadly, you’re never going to be a teenager. I’m sure it would have been interesting and fun, though… especially with Suzie, and your own kids.

That’s fine. By then, you will no longer be eligible for the kid gloves treatment. Enjoy your pre-teen life.
