Gil (assuming that’s Gil in P3) looks like a student. These long-range drawings are just too indistinct.

It will be interesting to see how this develops. So many times people who have been hurt or offended seek an apology and its terms, and when they are met announce that “it’s not enough.”

Does Marty have a serious case of ring worm or is it just me?

P3, An email?!? Wouldn’t an on-air interview and apology be more appropriate if he can get the station manager to agree to let it happen? Could be a ratings bonanza.

This story reminds me of a DJ in DC called The Greaseman who replaced Howard Stern after he was fired. This nitwit babbled baby talk and old, bad jokes your grandfather might tell and for some reason was very popular and made a lot of money. Then he got suspended, more than a few times for inappropriate, racist “jokes” and was finally fired. After his wife left him, the last I heard, he now “broadcasts” out of his mother’s basement. I think the people next door are the only ones that can pick up the signal.

I completely agree Marty’s “apology” was inadequate. What I meant above was that he might meet the terms they seek in an apology only to be told it’s not enough.

Yow! Who woulda thunk old Gil Thorp would occasion so much comment? Better than the old “(fill in the blank) season is over, get onto (fill in the blank) season” we usually see in the comments. I think we all want to see how they play this one out.

Wait – does Marty think all of the kids heckling him are siblings? Do they all look alike? Well, actually, with this artist, often times they do. But realistically, only the girl is part of this, why is he saying, “get the Padilla kids to back off”?

And another thing, people are starting to take me for granted. Not one compliment on the floor in P3, <sob>.

Problem solved! The basketball teams didn’t make the play downs and baseball starts on Monday. I didn’t learn any lesson… oh well.
