John really needs to stop bringing in fish as tertiary pets.

Too bad it was just a forged goldfish letter. I would have enjoyed a dramatic Jon/Liz breakup arc in which Jon rushes off to convince Liz to stay in town.

Of course, what other aquatic creatures would cats eat?

Being Mother’s Day, I thought that was from his mother. On the other hand, Jon should be used to getting Dear Jon letters.

A breakup letter from Liz would be like: “Dear Jon, I can’t contain my excitement! I’m finally free from you and your stupid antics!!! Goodbye now, don’t miss me too much, I know I won’t miss you."

Jon, the goldfish couldn’t have left on its own accord, and you didn’t ‘bury it at sea’ with a decisive flush, so that leaves only Mr. G.

I was seriously scared that was Liz for, like, 2 panels.

We had a cat that loved watching the fish swim around, but she also had a tendency, to drink from the fish tank water. EW !!!

Hey, Jon got a Dear John-letter.

I was expecting a Dear John letter, signed by someone else breaking up with their boyfriend. Just delivered to him in error because his name is Jon.

Clearly Jon knew it was fake.
