As many of you probably already know, William Dozier who produced Batman and The Green Hornet had planned to do a show on Dick Tracy but it never aired. I wonder would The Dick Tracy show have been successful?
Dick Tracy in yellow (and once, red), the Spirit in blue, the Green Hornet in green… all that’s left is the original man in black – he who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men…
A green chauffeur’s uniform, tailored to Casey’s measurements, with a red wig, and, a spare Hornet mask, nice. But makes me wonder what kind of games Brit and Casey have been playing when he’s not being the Hornet, or, not being the publisher of a major daily newspaper, and, she his executive assistant.
Yesterday, he said he wasn’t busting them, and he even got back in the car to tell them that. It’s his modus operandi, get the little fish to lead him to the big fish. So today he DID bust them and that would mean his plan wouldn’t come off. What?
I agree with Erikk, why did he bother to crash the counterfeiters’ party except to have them alert the local underworld he wants a piece of the pie, & now turn around & dime them out? Yes, I know, the Green Hornet’s m.o. is t pose as a criminal in order to get close to criminals, but I always found it one of those ideas that sounds better in theory than work out in actual practice.
Apparently, Green Hornet expects the counterfeit boys to have notified the Apparatus at once about him muscling in on the action and thus (he figures) need wait only a (very) short time before calling in the popo on them! I hope his experience means that his instinct is right! And, tomorrow (as he informs Kato-Casey), he knows that Tracy will be on the Hornet’s case after the previous night’s bust (made thanks to the dime dropped by “an anonymous Citizen”). It’s a slippery game he plays; he can’t afford one misstep, because any error will get him in trouble (real trouble) with either the Bad Guys or the Good Guys!

Good morning™, den busters!
I guess that concludes our demo of how the Green Hornet works. Now, on to the unique situation.

Too easy. Show up, then minutes later, call the cops? Plus, he’s minus his main enforcer – Kato!

Who else is watching the original 26 episodes of the Green Hornet tv show on YouTube because of this?

This Green Hornet cross over has the potential to be awesome. The writers better not screw it up. No quick, abrupt endings to the story either.

Of course, Mike & Joe could have brought back Roger C. Carmel’s “Colonel Gumm,” then created a ’new’ villain …
… for the unlikeliest team-up of all~!!

I wonder if Kato gets paid time and a half for being kidnapped?

GH is toying with DT. Time will tell if he’s underestimated our favorite detective!
