Sounds familiar. When the wife left I started telling people I was now under new management – mine.

If your wife acts as if her feelings are hurt if you ever decide something she dislikes, no decent husband would intentionally make such a decision. I stopped making them decades ago.

I’m a real man. I make the decisions around here. As soon as my wife tells me what they are I make them! ;-)

I once heard that the Bride says “I do.” Then the Groom says “I do,” and that’s the last he has to say in the matter.

The two words most essential to a happy marriage: “Yes Dear.”

I used to work with a guy who would say “I run things in my house! I run the dishwasher, I run the vacuum, I run the washing machine…”

And there’s the old saying “Every man is incomplete until he’s married. And then he’s finished!”

I have input into all decisions, she decides whether it is valid.

Next week it will be 43 years for us and we make all decisions together. However, so many other couples we know/knew didn’t do so and led to a lot of fights and many ended in divorce. So sad!

Don’t worry, Earl. That’s still probably more than Aaron Burr got in his marriage. ;-)
