Having fun in the sun!! I love it! I want that second panel, it’s sooooo cute! Even the baby’s soaking it up with Pengo! @SheMc: Hey sweetie, I sent you a reply on yesterday’s strip but it was really late, I’m sorries!{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{SheMc and Jan}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Lovely, I am keeping you and Jan in my prayers and thoughts and sending you a big hug and kiss, lots of orb bumps and boops! And please know you can always write me at my email if you need me, which I’ll put in a reply post to this post. Shaunnmunn and Lady Kat are my wonderful pen pals. But please let me know when you’ve seen this so I can delete my email off, ok?? Blessings and healing thoughts and vibes!
Yesterday brought the most wondrous sight – Blackjack and Willow sitting in an open sunny window, watching a quartet of fledgling wrens sitting on the shrub just outside. These babies were so young they still had tufts of baby down on them.
Good morning and happy Thursday/Purrsday, orbsters and orbabies. The visit to the oncologists went fairly well. Paul finds out on Friday when he starts his radiation therapy (7 weeks’ worth) and will be seeing a different oncologist for possible chemotherapy. Bye bye, summer!
wondering why we don’t get all excited to see The Baby’s cute little toes like we do when we see the boys’ toe beans? The Baby does rock that cow lick, though!! And why is it called a cow lick anyway, why not a deer lick or a cat lick or a ferret lick?? Hope everyone finds something to be joyful about today!
The last couple days when I got home from work Maxie was laying on her perch in the sun. I came in the living room to set on the couch briefly both days and told her to just stay in the sun because I wasn’t staying long, but she still came over to get her pets. Her fur was nice and toasty warm from being in the sun.
I beseech forgiveness from the almighty Cat, I have committed an unforgivable sin … I ran out of wet food and left two ginger boys to languish, famished and forlorn, withering away in starvation ;-)
I usually keep a few packets (?, what do you call those perfect portion things) of their wet food in the cupboard and the majority of it in the pantry but I clearly wasn’t paying attention to my supply as when I went to feed the boys this morning there was none to be found. The look on their faces when I put down just the dish with kibble in was priceless – utter confusion and befuddlement :) Dean was still giving me the cold shoulder when I left for work and I’m sure an in-depth investigation is on going at this moment. I don’t have time to go to Petsmart today as Telus is coming on a service call after work so I’ll have to grab something from the grocery store – I’m sure they won’t complain as long as it’s an acceptable flavour.
Just wanted to share something that worked for us last night when it was time to give Apple her chemo pill: macaroni and cheese!!! The capsule fit perfectly inside the piece of macaroni, she took the whole piece in her mouth and seemed to hesitate for just a second, but swallowed it down and waited for another bite. Soooo much nicer than forcing open her mouth and stroking her throat to get her to swallow. (The tiny little girl has a ferociously strong jaw and can be quite adamant that she is not going to “open up”!
Cats ability to reconfigure their bodies for temperature control is very efficient. I once hooked up a cat bed heater to a rheostat. I could see my cat go from tightly curled to stretched out three-feet-long by adjusting the dial.
Just curious; what kind of sun bunny is everyone? My Hubby is full on a Lupin. Personally I’m an Elvis (although I do my lounging in the shade since I go from zero to Lobster Woman in about 3 minutes even with SPF 90).
I have a photo of Big Bad John snoozing in the sunlight of the back door in almost the same pose as Puck and a photo of Jasper in the front door sun patch posed like Elvis. Unfortunately, they’re both so stretched out that neither will fit in the “orb” picture frame or I’d share one.
I took Sweetheart into town to get a peticure. After we went to do a little recycling. I stopped at a clients to pick up some paperwork. We walked on the beach a little. I went to the hardware and got some stuff to help make two extension belts for my van’s tie-down system. Stopped at Pirate Dan’s Pirate Pastries for a couple of cookies for me and Sweetheart. (Peanut-butter for her, Snickerdoodle for me.) She’s trying to talk me into taking a nap right now. :D I don’t think that its going to be very hard to convince me.
After reading all the comments about cowlicks, I went back and looked at the comic.Sorry, fellow orbsters, but I think the baby has a pompadour. It’s in the front, not the back—-Lio has a pompadour, Alfalfa has a cowlick.pompadour—- https://smhttp-ssl-33667.nexcesscdn.net/manual/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/mens-light-brown-faded-pompadour-hairstyle.jpg
The Beatles are accompanied by Richie Havens: “Here comes the sun (doo doo doo doo) Here comes the sun, and I say It’s all right Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here”
My felines, though, have soaked up so much of the sunshine that the their chief cook and litter box washer is Vitamin “D” deficient in Florida of all places. Their master plan is to get a newer model of their live in slave endowed with way more money to get them in the lifestyle of the fat cats of the GOP. Anyone else see Lupin with a goatee in that last panel?
Think the shades look better on Puck. Maybe it’s because we don’t see him grinning. Kinda has a Fonzie cool vibe going for him, personally.

Cats, like babies, are solar powered. Gives them energy to wake you up at night.

When I kept my grandson, the two boys [cats, Tugger and Max] would lay near the baby just like this trio. Out of reach, but able to monitor, you see.
