I own three Siberian Huskies – two female and one a male. The females are careful about WHAT they put in their stomachs while the male has the attitude that if it GOES ‘down’ AND ‘stays’ down, it’s edible! He even sits in the kitchen while I’m fixing my salad because he expects at least a leaf or three!
To ELADEEs point, I suspect Bucky couldn’t care less about “helping” Satchel. If Satchel is ANYTHING like my male dog, then Bucky is aware that soon after ingesting the “Happy Meal”, Satchel’s gut will start producing truly massive amounts of ‘gas’ which will seriously ‘discomode’ Bucky!
So Bucky, instead of “protecting” Satchel, is merely protecting himself!
I know a dog that ate something (no-one kows what) and developed a serious intestinal problem. He can’t eat anything but some sort of very expensive dog food, $100+ per bag. If he eats anything but that, his skin develops blisters that ruptures. Expensive dog.

THINK, Bucky. Do you want him behind you if he throws up?

Yea, though I walk through the alley of the shadow of death, I will fear no morsel: for thou art fragrant ; thy odor and rancid, they comfort me.

For once, Satchel should listen to the little hairball.

I dunno, Bucky, having a dog who just ate unidentified goop off the sidewalk behind you seems like a bad idea…
