Joanie, you lost your job because your employer decided to make a useless, empty gesture to appease her own sense of guilt without giving the slightest consideration to how it would affect anybody else. Your boss had the option of staying in the struggle and fighting the good fight with you to help. Instead she coughed it all up and threw you under the bus. In defending her you’ve made a doormat of yourself. The really weird part is that I don’t think Gary Trudeau understands any of this either.
