It seems like Mike has picked up on what I’ve been saying about the Moon not being too of mind with contemporary young people. Crystal has a good excuse, though. I feel sorry for her.
Yes we abandoned both putting a permanent space station up there and also on our moon. Once the USA won the space race and the CCCP ended their attempts to land a human on Luna. It came to an end. The political theater closed. Sad really and they want to skip doing that and go straight to Mars.
Crystal’s revelation about having little positive to remember about her past may be the incentive for “Detective” Honeymoon to try and find out who Crystal’s father is, and go ahead and put the two of them together, or just let Crystal take it from there.
The Moon Compound is a good idea. It provides Mysta with a role at Smith Industries, educating visitors and school field trips. Gould’s rich moon era can be the topic of lectures, even as current exploration—Mars Science Laboratory, Curiosity rover on Mars, Hubble Space Telescope, Webb Space Telescope (launching 2020?), proposed space observatories—potentially gets a nod. Stellaluna and Retik can play supporting roles, following their bliss and sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for space exploration. I like it.
Don’t look back, Crystal. Look to the future and don’t visit Bribery in jail. He is a bad influence. Ygor would agree if he were still alive.
Apparently that finishing school Crystal attended did not teach much about empathy or sympathy for others (particularly those who try to be friends). I wonder if her lack of tact caused her to have no friends at school? Maybe that’s why she has nothing to look back on.
This is a bit too much “poor me” for my taste. I’m still not convinced that Crystal is the angel everyone seems to want her to be.
Ray, like i said the other day… Im of a mind to think that Crystal is Bribery’s “ace in the hole” and that her “mission” is to get as close to Honeymoon and Frankenmindy as possible… and that the whole thing was set up MONTHS AGO when Crystal told Bribery that she met Moon Maid’s Daughter while shopping.
Well, about two weeks ago, this started out as a potentially good story, now we got “As the Stomach Turns.” Geez I just about forgot the original “plot.”
Sad, but what Crystal says seems true of many young people: “history” begins with their birth, and anything prior is at best a fuzzy old legend. Crystal may be suffering from (clinical) depression, or very near it. Honeymoon may be wise enough to help her friend develop a healthier outlook.
Or, Sawtooth and his nefarious plan may intervene and send Crystal into an even deeper funk….
