You’d think the smell would let them know they were close to it.

Maybe if he threw in some feathers.

Put up a ticket booth, charge 5 clams for admission, and make the exit through the gift shop. If people won’t avoid it, at least you get their clams.

And supposedly some Indians referred to where Chicago now stands as “Skunk Place”…

For all the effort/expense that went into 14 signs, he probably could have just built a fence around it.

I think the problem is that the tar pit keeps expanding. Would swallow the fence in due time.
