I like BD. I really do. But this storyline just about makes me hate his guts.

Having served in the military back in the day for 20 plus years, believe me BD’s actions are not at all unusual. More the norm actually…

I served in the Army 2 days and I know how BD feels, the same thing happened to me. It seemed like a little white lie at the time.

Guess BD just forgot his Football Helmet at home? He should have gone Pro. But he volunteered to…what kill people in a foreign land? Don’t have much pity for that.

A BD picture , two flaming candles , his football helmet , others little pictures : I have seen altars like that in my relatives houses in the Southern Italy where the old women made for their dead husbands or sons (Pardon my bad English) .

Garry Trudeau depicted realistic people engaging in realistic behavior, and he showed them changing over time, some for the better, some for the worse. If this were literature instead of a comic strip, people would be praising its brilliance.

Longest stint without pulling into port during Vietnam was a 90 day line period. Normal time were 30 days, but the two carriers that were supposed to relieve us kept breaking down. Good ole Enterprise just kept on steaming.
