Next time the ladies go jogging, they should consider doing it without putting birds in their pants.

To think Elly is going to be pregnant for the third time at this age. I don’t consider 40s to be middle age. To me, middle age means women are on way to being menopausal which is 50s. Elly is not there yet. Just some gray hair and older body that no longer can jog without huffing. I have a friend who had her third child at 45. She had her oldest at 38 and second at 40. She said there is a difference between 40 and 45 – she is a lot more tired and less energetic at 45. That is what Elly would be experiencing in the upcoming years. Because of that, Liz became a second mother to April.

These days, those are considered “curves”. Ladies, you’re right in style!

They’re gaining speed but aren’t taking off. There’s something wrong with their flaps.

Running/Jogging is detrimental to the knees, eventually! Swimming is best way to exercise! Can’t feel yourself sweat!

Ah, so what body part is flapping? Butt-flap? Must be studied carefully.

Elly runs like she were cycling. On an invisible bicycle.

Connie is right. Exercise really IS the Fountain of Youth. That’s why I go to the gym and work out five days a week. It helps me feel 25, look 35 — OK, 40! — and FORGET that I’m approaching 60!

I know a lot of women who run/jog, ranging from 25 to 60 years old. None of them sound remotely like that. Is that what some women really imagine they sound like in their heads when they run?

I’m a woman, pushing 60, who has lost 135 lbs. without surgery in the last 2 years, and I still have some to go. Let me tell you, that leaves a LOT of loose skin to flap around, especially because as we age, we lose the elasticity in our skin…it don’t snap back the way it would when we are in our youth! I apologize if this is TMI for some of our gentle snowflakes, but flapping skin is just a fact of aging. I don’t let it get me down…I’m fitter in my flappin’ fifties than I’ve ever been in my life!

Elly will always be the buffoon next to Connie’s finesse.

I got a chuckle out of today’s strip. Truer words were never spoken Lynn. You do have to approach exercise with a sense of humor.

Doesn’t matter the age – and believe me, the older you get, exercise does not get any easier or more fun, – you have to find that fun or laughter in it, yourself.

I’ve often thought how silly I must look, as a galumph around the track every morning on my 3 mile “power” walk but then I look at all the other people of all ages and sizes doing the stadium circumnavigation, or doing their aerobics classes, and realize we all look pretty silly but I’d look even more ridiculous padding around in one of those backless hospital gowns, then I do in my tee shirt, shorts, and cross-trainers.

This is pre-social media body shaming. They were drawn as they are….jus like Jessica Rabbitt.

Lynn, with that perception of women, you should have been a Republican Senator.

Those girls have got to get yoga pants!!! They keep your butt in place and look WONDERFUL on every woman if they’re not obese! Very flattering.
