I like the “Evil Dead” movies (except the reboot…nope), but there were some parts of “Ash vs. Evil Dead” that fell under the category of “once seen, can never be unseen” (shudder).
…that said, isn’t odd behavior kinda standard at "Waffle H(ouse)ut? Rip’s rant shouldn’t even be a blip on the restaurant radar.
What a family. Rip’s stepmother hires Mr. Wrong and the Scorpion to frame Dutch and Breezy. Rip then risks his life trying to clear them. During which time Dutch and Breezy decide to actually break the law and escape custody. After which, they gather up everybody (including Dr. Pain) to go into hiding. With the exception of Rip, whom they tell is on his own to find the conspirators. Effectively abandoning him. Personally, I would be wondering if a family is worth it. What’s gonna happen if/when Rip solves this case? Are they going to just pop up saying “Okay, we’re taking over again. Never mind that we left Rip alone to face dangers while we snuck away and hid”. If I was an agent with their, well agency, I would have zero respect for their leadership.
To be fair, the quality of the storytelling dropped off after the first season of ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ and Starz didn’t promote it that well. The best parts of season 2 was the Lee Majors bit and the Sperm Bank scene.
Glad Rip is feeling better, though I’m beginning to question his judgement. In a situation like his, I wouldn’t waffle around, I’d head straight for the International Hut of Pancakes.

I’m glad Rip being depressed about danger didn’t last long. It’s unnatural. Also, nice use of the word “fewer.”

Are we talking barbecue waffles? If not, I’m headed back to the danger part.

Protip Rip: when the waitress asks about your day, she doesn’t want to hear about it!

Rip watches “Ash vs. Evil Dead.” And I thought I couldn’t love this strip any better.

Whats this world coming to when a man cant swear revenge on these who wronged him in a chain resturant without getting funny looks?
