Tracy held on for dear life as Lizz sped towards the location of the 10-31 call, weaving in and out of traffic.
“Lizz, now’s not the time to practice your stunt driving!”
“Don’t you want to get there before the actions over?”
Tracy wanted to say; “In one piece!” but decided not to risk distracting her any further.
Pulling up to the site Lizz exclaimed; “looks like we are too late!” upon noticing two suspects were already cuffed and on the ground.
“One looks wounded.” Tracy said as he and Lizz approached the men after flashing their badges.
“An attempted robbery, detective Tracy. We were fired on and had no choice but to respond with force. One of them is hit real bad” A sergeant informed the duo.
It would be so neat if that is a mechanical man who is going to open a door on his chest to expose Tracy to the deadly ……….. Oh, wait ! that’s another show. I like how these two are very “cool” with each other.
You might have heard this saying: “Many have tried, all have failed". So meet the next two failures to try to bring down the great detective Dick Tracy.
Curtain in upper left corner of panel 2 blows in one direction, and the one at bottom right blows in the opposite. PV seems to be at the center of a literal vortex.
Posie Ermine! Since he was both shot and pronounced dead off-camera, I always wondered if he’d return. LOL I’m just kidding but that’s who came to mind, maybe because I thought they killed him off too soon, just when he had gotten into that buddy thing with the Moon Governor.
Lots of smoke (but apparently no mirrors); computer; fax (?); and the “anti-Tracy” with a fedora pulled way down on one side—trying to look like a real tough, menacing guy, I guess. Fastest Gun-for-Hire in the West? Thinks he’s faster than the town’s veteran lawman?
I think I’ve seen this movie before—more than once, in fact.
What kind of flowers would you like for the anti-Tracy’s grave, Piotr?
If this is a returning adversary, it could easily be Willie the Fifth. He vanished in a flash of light, and wasn’t established as dead — Tracy’s conversation with Jim Trailer implied that “electrocution” was just a cover story. He’s certainly “less dead” than he was after his original story, where he ended up buried in the sand after being drowned by a tsunami wave. But was he an open collar kind of guy?
Could Wormy Marrons be more likely? He’s even less dead than Willie the Fifth, since all we saw was an ambiguous newspaper story.
“My printer! I’m going to write the worst insults I can think of about Tracy and post them all over town! He’ll be too ashamed to show his face! You want a hit off this air conditioner fluid stuff? You’ll kiss God!”

Good morning™, record keepers!
A mysterious man in a hat appears. What/who could that be? I see he smokes cigars, but he is indeed mysterious, the anti-Dick Tracy.

Tracy felt an immediate chill go down his spine.

Okay, is the woman’s name Devil or Devilia? The latter is more clever.

Looking at Devilia in panel got me to wondering — could she be Lee Ebony in disguise?
