Does Opal even approve of Earl watching that — as Earl called it — claptrap?

Turn off the TV and read a book.

Check the schedule; you can usually find “Gunsmoke” on somewhere. Btw, morning TV on a network station is excruciatingly bad.

Earl watches “The Beverly Hillbillies” and “Andy Griffith” when Opal is around, but when she isn’t, he watches “Orange is the New Black” and “Breaking Bad”.

Go out and sit on the bench in the park – then at least Opal won’t be able to tell you to drive her to the fabric store.

And to think Bruce Springsteen thought he was making a point with 57 Channels (And Nothin’ On).

Nowadays? So “My Mother the Car” was high brow? LOL!!

I know it shouldn’t, but it upsets me that stations advertise claptrap and hooey (Marriage Boot Camp, The Bachelor, Mama June, etc,) on programs I really enjoy (Monk, Law and Order, Criminal Minds).

I know, right? I watched tv for 8 hours the other day and couldn’t find anything good on!

I cut the cord several years ago for this very reason. Now I watch sports and some news.

And YouTube videos. If you’re selective, YouTube vids have at least some educational value.

He’s right about that. None of them tell the truth any more…..not that they ever did. They just make up stories that they think the liberals will believe, and they believe just about everything.

The Claptraps live next to the Lockhorns, don’t they? ☺
