Surely Denise should know not to burn her bridges until after she’s crossed them…. ;-)

Blocked by fire and water and a bear. Time to face the end Denise. Three choices. All three painfully agonizing ways to die.

Okay, so the lamps are lighted with flammable DEATH. See, this is why I asked the question last Friday.

Click your heels three times, Denise, and repeat after me: “I made poor life choices.”

This shading of Walt … amazing. Panel two is just brilliant.

So the pig butcher is about to be roasted.

Notice that Walt has a lamp in both hands. Yeowch!

Roast pork. Yummm!

Good thing that this is a fantasy. It wouldn’t work otherwise.

I don’t know why, but the song “Ring of Fire” keeps playing in my head as I read today’s page… ;-)

We’re not seeing his face here. I’m almost willing to believe that this is not Walt.

….and the lamp hits the bridge in front of her, making her pause just long enough for Walt to catch up… bye-bye, Denise.

Oh! The streetlights were gas-lit.

And the bridge now becomes a grill… Let’s see if this cures her of her need for meat.

Okay. I am so lost on this story line. Can someone check me please? Basically Portia is the butcher because the rats and mayor called someone on the phone and said, ‘scratch’. Meanwhile, Walt’s girlfriend gets a piece of pork in the mail and knows where to go to find Portia (not sure when that happened actually). At some point in time, she was shot, Walt killed the guy who sent her the piece of pork, and now he’s chasing down Portia. How many bits am I missing here? Thanks.

Really weird now, in the civil engineering department: Gas streetlights? In an underground chamber that needs to keep tight control on oxygen? Conservation of resources: Who and how are these lights turned on and off with the artificial day and night sequences?

If it was a gas street light wouldn’t it still go out after it broke off? Would have to assume it is some other system in place.

This is the part she will try to “reason” her way out of this.

I think Walt is already planning not coming back from this…and he’s taking her with him.

So much for “crossing the bridge when you get to it…”

Before Aaron posts today, I’m going to predict that the next lamp is on the bridge behind her, but that Walt is going to be in the ring of fire to make sure Denise doesn’t get away … and because he knows what he has done and what has been done to him are things that cannot be set right. So I see him restraining Denise as they burn.

There still could be a surprise turn of events.

What is Denise wearing? Is she in surgical scrubs?
