Jack seems obvious to the girls’ “talk.”

I think what we have going on here is a little further south near the waist. I truly don’t think Lu has given things a thought beyond physical attraction.

1. Laughing at your own joke.

2. Have counted out an even number of 4 "ha"s and 4 "heh"s, proving you are an equal opportunity laugher.

3. Letting the boy do all the work.

4. Looking at his butt as he walks away.

5. Glad you are not wearing nearly as much lipstick as clown-face Tara.

Yet another reminder that age is just a number, and that being 19 doesn’t necessarily mean being mature.

Luann has no feelings for Jack. She is merely fulfilling Bernice and Tara’s jokes, because they put her mind on the romance loop. More so, Jack really doesn’t seem interested anymore. He did in art class, but not lately. Think of the song “Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About.”

Jack seems happy to have a good girl friend; not a girlfriend. Luann should go with friendship, not hormones. Good male friends are gold. If something else develops, all well and good but at least it would have a solid base to build on.

Brad found his…..Will Luaan final find hers? The guy seems like he does everything right.

Looks like we’ve got the right mix here to sort things out this week. Let’s see if Greg will do it.

I like where this seems to be going.

Like I said Tara is a heat finding missile. A heat seeking missile finds its target by homing in on the heat signature, for example a fighter jet, or even another missile. I am defining a heat finding missile as one that has found its target, and boom. Hence Tara. Luann, BOOM. Now lets see what you do with the boom.

I still don’t get it. Didn’t Tara just make that same joke yesterday? Now Luann thinks it’s funny when she repeats it? And is surprised when Tara doesn’t laugh at the repeated joke?

Maybe the protective gear is picked up with the experiment supplies. Like where the story is going…

Enough. Look, I really like Tara, but this Junior High School, “Luann’s got a Boyfriend,” teasing has gone on long enough and it’s only Monday.

Tara’s gotten herself sitting even closer to Luann, the more to nudge her towards Jack? Soon Tara will be so much closer she’ll be next to Jack, or on his other side nudging him towards Luann.

How many times are we going to use the same joke?

The shirt Luann is wearing ages her – she looks thirty rather than twenty. I see this style of blouse on older women. Greg needs to observe the young woman attire including Luann’s personality type which would be a plain next door girl who wears simple t-shirts with cute pictures on the front, jeggings (stretchy jeans), cute sandals. The styles Greg’s been drawing on Luann doesn’t suit her, her age or her personality.

I agree. She seems to be falling for Jack a little. Time for a whole new look. Maybe Tara can help her fashionwise? Wouldn’t it be fun to see them go on a shopping spree?!

Chemical heat = fuel plus oxygen plus ignition = fire triangle = THREE WAY !!!!

Is “chemical heat” even a thing that would be said in a (college-level, mind you) chemistry lab? I mean, I remember plenty of exothermic reactions, but never those words. “We’re going to make chemical heat!” sounds more like something you’d say to a classroom full of fourth-graders.

Which…okay, never mind.

Sooo… looks like this is happening…. Oh well, hope it goes better than the other relationships.

A “Freudian Slip” of a joke if ever I heard one. The joke pops into her heard… she states it…. then realizes what it sounds like… (and so of course does Tara)… then she regrets it and tries to backtrack.

The thing that I think is especially interesting…. is that I believe that the joke has helped Luann realize a bit about her own inner feelings. I think that during this whole Jack arc (from Tiffany through Bernice until now with Tara) Luann HAD BELIEVED IN HER OWN MIND that she did not really have any sort of romantic feelings for Jack.

She is currently still denying it externally…. but I believe inside that she now is aware of these romantic feelings. This could prove to be an interesting week. I am hoping for a few days this week of introspection by Luann (perhaps she will drift away in thought and not pay much attention to what she is doing in lab…. hopefully with no negative consequences other than perhaps her grade for a bit).

I find it odd that everyone else in this comic has grown, even if only slightly, over the years. Yet Luann, in mainly social settings, remains the same immature teenager. If she likes Jack she needs to actually tell him. This is why it took so long for her and Aaron to hook up. Of course Greg may be worried about her getting into a relationship now. She is a legal adult and a college girl, a romantic relationship now won’t end in blushes and kisses in the supply closet.

what I am coming away with is that Jack is focused on the lab. Luann and Tara aren’t. When Jack was first introduced (as a character) in Zebo’s art class, he was without direction in life (as he later stated). He was distracted by Luann (at that time) because of it. Now, he into his studies. I don’t believe he is paying much attention to Luann and Tara and all their commentary, just like he was oblivious to Tiffany at the Kids 1st session.

I think that Greg is actually trying to give Tara a girlish look, but so far she just looks like Howdy Doody’s sister. Let’s go back to yesterday and see how Frank is doing with Nancy.
