It’s true. You should never send a cat to do a dog’s job.

That’s too normal for a cat. I would never have caught on either.

Actually had a variant of this happen to me. A stray cat showed up in our back yard for a few days. At the end she would walk away and wait for me to follow. Eventually we got to a house one street over and quite a bit up the street. She had a litter of kittens in one of the basement window wells.

The big question: Who’s in the well? Janis? Sgt. Snorkel? Little Johnny Flynn or Little Tommy Stout?

In any case, that looks like a tough well to fall into accidentally.

Our cat will do this to my husband almost every day. If some of his friends (neighborhood cats) are outside the patio door he will come get my husband to go feed them. I always say that cat is more of a Lassie than a cat. “Lassie what is wrong, is Timmy in the well?” lol

Jimmy is fond of allegories. Recall “Hey diddle, diddle” of 7APR2008? Question is "Who was diddling in panel 1? Followed up with another risqué one on the 10th.

Our “watch cat” would tattle on our son, if he was doing something dangerous (not quite an everyday occurrence, but almost :)

A takeoff on ‘The Adventures of Cat Lassie’. Cat Lassie, however, goes home, eats, and falls asleep instead of bringing help for Timmy. The creators were sued by those who control Lassie and had to take it down from the Internet (years ago). My own Kat Lassie, named after this infamous one, recently passed away at the age of 20.

If cats didn’t do this all the time maybe Arlo would know that something is wrong and to follow him!

I couldn’t stop laughing long enough to consider any further plot themes, can’t it just be funny?
