Every morning, one or both of my boys will curl up beside me on my tiger print blanket.

Elvis you are really ruining your image the last couple days

There is nothing like a fuzzy blanket and an equally fuzzy, warm cat snuggled up with you.Pres. Carter degreed that we should set our winter thermostats to 55 degrees to save energy. The two cats and I spent the winter under an electric blanket topped with a fuzzy throw. The gas bill increased, the pipes froze and the next winter the house was set at a more comfortable temp, fuel bill did not increase, and the cats and I were warm and comfortable.

Some of us have dogs that do this equally well. Curl up on the fuzzy blankets with us and nap. Course the younger of the species (both cat and dog) just want to play. They do not understand coziness and comfort to the level that the older ones appreciate.

Puncture marks in prehistoric human skulls suggest that this did not end well.

Georgia, along with all your other talents, you really are a Comfort Master! I think that’s one of the things that makes a house a home, and makes a home a happy home.

It has been documented that most cave people had pet dinosaurs and sabre-toothed cats. Oftentimes when the cave people tried to put the cat out for the night the cat would go back through the open windows and put the Human out for the night.

I love everything about this comic. The fire to the TV, sabertooth tiger to elvis, elvis spread out, <3 it all!!

This is SO true! I have two cats, and one queen-size bed. I’m in the bed, trying to sleep. Before long, one cat comes and parks on the bed. Soon after, the second one joins us. I can’t sleep late, you see, because at wakeup time, my face gets a licking. The purr is loud and strong.

One of our cats, Giblet, stands at the top of the stairs and cries out that he wants us to come to bed so he can snuggle on the blankets. He does not come downstairs because Mittens, our Tortie Lady cat and he do not get along. Think Elvis and Tabitha. Giblet gets uppity and Mittens punches him in the nose, even though Mittens is half the size. Mittens only speaks on language but is an alpha female and has also caught the red-dot.

skykey, where are you?? We need update on Megan, Tre-C and Hector. Please tell us another story.

MegaOrb? Can I please for good thoughts comfort beams, etc please ? Wednesday night I wasn’t feeling well & went into a full blown seizure . :-( It was the first one since 2015. Thankfully I wasn’t alone . I spent yesterday sleeping a lot . I’m mostly feeling back to normal (normal for me ;-) ) But could still use some good vibes Thanks!

The one thing the boys glossed over in the presentation is that in the first panel the fuzzy blanket could very well have been your fellow kitty/brother. You did whatever to stay warm. Saber tooth Elvis would have kept the Woman warm her whole life one way or the other.

Yeaaaahh … right … cozying up to the big cats, eh, Georgia? You know better than that. Anything much over 100 pounds and, eventually, you’ll end up mincemeat. There’s a reason they say felis catus is “our little bit of wildness indoors.”

Hooray! Georgia is working on a new Halloween special for next month! Here’s her Facebook posting: Georgia Dunn – Breaking Cat News

Last month I shared the bad news that I will not be putting the 2015 Halloween special into newspapers. It was a hard decision, but to make it fit I would have had to shorten/edit it down. I did not want to change it or lose any details. It would be hard to pace it out; many of the strips would have ended on sad notes without another panel to bring the mood back up.

So, what does this mean? Well, the Halloween events of 2015 happened in the BCN world. They still exist on the original website, their run on GoComics, and possibly (hopefully!) in a future BCN book one day. (Not the next one, it ends before those strips… But perhaps with luck and good fortune, it will be in one after that??) What else does it mean? Well, we’ve got to introduce our favorite ghost reporter to newspapers another way! …Yes, Tillie will be back next month! In a NEW BCN Halloween adventure, thanks to some lost footage Burt discovered from the 2016 station break!

If you’ve never read the 2015 BCN Halloween special, nothing’s stopping you! If you’re disappointed, I’m sorry. This was a hard decision to make. For the sake of the story, I wanted to keep it just as it is. I hope after you will agree with me. I had the option to jam it into papers if I wanted, (which was even harder to decide! I was very tempted!) but ultimately I just did not want to risk harming the story.

Georgia, Thank you for your integrity by not editing the Halloween/Tillie story for the sake of newspaper limitations. It is too charming a story to sacrifice. You always put a smile on my face in the morning. I must admit though that in re-reading the Halloween story line straight through this morning, I did tear up a bit, but it was a sweet tear up.
