“Where do you want to be” and “where do you need to be” have different answers far too often!

Both questions have equal value, depending on context

My family moved when I was about her age. This poignantly reminded me of how it felt.

@LesliePiper1 I for one could not agree more. My female teachers were all married to serving servicemen or to veterans of WW2, my male teachers had all served either as draftees or volunteers, most in WW2 a few from the Korea era. It was the era of “we are Americans we build, we fight we win.” Then both the music and Camelot died, and we became the counter culture of 1968. From “We’re the cops of the world” to “Hell no we won’t go.”

Oh my, the trolls are out early this morning.

Portland Maine or Portland Oregon?

Portland Oregon used to be way cool years ago, but now it’s been taken over by Californian rich people, druggies, and bums.

I lived in Portland during the late eighties, while I found Portland interesting my wife whois chinese found it incredibly covertly racist.
