Cricket doesn’t have rules – it has Laws and lots of talk and complaints about the “Spirit of the Game”. Some things, while technically allowed by the laws, just aren’t cricket.
I was on a eco- project in Western Australia with about 15 volunteers; mostly Americans. The last day of the project we were obliged to participate in a cricket game with the Aussies. I had no clue; what was going on.

There’s no bench clearing brawls though – the two batsmen on the field are on their own … and it’s legal to hit them with the ball!
