Odd digression. ✨
That’s Andy Gump alright. Know to a degree in his heyday for his seeming lack of a chin.
I hope we hit the reset button over the weekend and get back to reminiscing about the history of Gasoline Alley on Monday.
Does he have a cousin Forrest?
Beautiful!
Actually, I was thinking yesterday that they don’t look alive at all. They just have the same moustache.
There was once a movie about the Gumps. The actor who played Andy looked a lot like him, and it was WAY before they could remove a chin via computer.
In a way, it’s OLD, yet FRESH territory!! If Andy Gump is related to, brothers to, Mutt – then SO BE IT! No harm done!
As Bugs Bunny would say … “Ehhhhhhhhh, COULD BE!” :)
Nice to see a vintage comics character again! Augustus Mutt always addressed his wife as “M’love”, whereas Andy Gump would bellow “OH, MIN!!” at the top of his lungs more often than not.
