The problem is that it is easier to try to correct other people’s faults than to correct our own. To change the world, we first must change ourselves.

There’s a Chinese saying: “If everyone swept his own doorstep, the whole world would be clean.” They’ve been thinking a long time.

All comments are so very true. But it is good to remember the Go Comics two week delay and that this is the Brett Kavanaugh arc in disguise.

Brett Kavanaugh. Anyone remember Brett Kavanaugh? There’s a Supreme Court justice named Brett Kavanaugh.

Whose behavior both decades ago and two weeks ago ought to have disqualified him for a position of trust anywhere in government!

And maybe the private sector, as well!

I tell the couples I see for marriage counseling: It’s easy to see what your spouse needs to do to improve; instead look at yourself in the mirror and ask, ‘what would it be like to be married to me?’ As the answer to that sinks in, you’ll know what YOU need to do to make things better. Do it.

Unfortunately too many people have Nikita Khrushchev’s attitude about acknowledging faults. When asked by President Kennedy if he (Khrushchev) ever admitted a mistake, Nikita replied “Certainly I do. In a speech before the 20th Party Congress I admitted all of Stalin’s mistakes.”

“Where’s the fun in that?”

Judging Others.1
