Dad doesn’t mind losing. He already has a lobbying gig lined up with the Weiner Dog Breeders of America.

Hey Calvin if you think you can find a Dad who’ll put up with you any better than your dad does, have at it.

How does Calvin even come up with this paternal polls?

Replace “Dad” with “President” and what Calvin says makes sense.

I don’t think you can replace Dad in the midterm elections.

The position of Dad is for life, Calvin. There is nothing you can do.

“If elected, I promise unlimited ice cream for everybody.”

But Calvin, what if Dad’s not joking?

If Dad stops being Dad, does that mean he has to leave home? As far as I can tell, he’s the only one earning an income. Calvin hasn’t thought this through.

I’m surprised Dad didn’t play along a little and come up with something a lot snappier. Either that or institute the new room rent policy.

Dad’s delivery seemed a little flat but it’s never too late to learn a new skill.

No wonder Calvin has such an imagination…both his parents seem to tell him to go away and not bother them….he needs some sort of companionship and mental stimulation…his parents don’t ever seem to play with him..
