What amazes me is that people think they are owed something because they have. been offended. There is no law that says we have the right to not be offended. We choose whether or not to be offended.
I usually see myself in Earl. Today, Iâm with Opal. The difference between me and âsnowflakesâ is my willingness to accept the rights of others to offend me.
Anybody else see the story about the Dutch guy who is petitioning his government to be declared 49 instead of sixty-something? His support is that age is âfluid.â Itâs pretty funny. . .
Freedom of speech is also the freedom to offend people. If you are on a continuous search to be offended, you will likely always find what you are looking for; even when it isnât there.
