In the last frame, I guess the guy with the bowtie is Dick Miller. The guy with the glasses is probably the lawyer. He would be too old to be one of the comedians, and he does have a lawyerly look.

They were escaping poverty but had enough money to invest with a lawyer?

Regarding “getting advice from a lawyer”…

The illegal immigrants and the “caravan migrants” are getting “advice from lawyers” today…

These “lawyers” are as criminal as the fictional "Volkov, Volkrov, Vortex… !

So, Dick Miller was probably of Russian, Jewish ancestry. And his parents got mixed up with a lawyer in the local community of Russian Jews. The direction suggested is that this particular lawyer was Mob-connected and misguided the Millers in some way; yet we have to wait for Dick to grow up and become part of the successful team, Deacon and Miller, before he can be steered into setting up the trust. Maybe “this particular lawyer” wasn’t malevolent at all….

Wasn’t Vitamin involved in a scam involving the Nitrates? His radar should be up.
