Is Paige going all noir on us?

I was searching across pages of samples of noire writing to cut’n’paste as a comment, apropos to the scene. Some snippets of noire use words that upset the big man. The one who rats you out when the Karens of the world just say No.

So I’ll go with:

Looks more like a “bridge” between storylines to me.

Cinematic. In a Noir style.

Monkey Pox has been classified as an STD in the gay community on both coasts.

In the heart of the cold, dark city, hopefully someone’s enjoying themselves.

It can’t be the present, don’t see any tents on the street.

Is it just me or does today’s comic feel like a waste? How is any plot progressed?

I love this strip, but I admit I’m so lost that I’m not even sure what the present for it is anymore (and yes, I know these are reruns making no present really the present :P )
