Are those skid marks at the edge of the lawn? She must have scared quite a few of the Ballard Street denizens by now, some rather spectacularly.

Yes, a hat and a comb, at least, have been abandoned as the Fokkers escape from Mrs. Zimmer.

I think she’s shot through her propeller a few times.

Did somebody leave the door to the Ballard Assisted Living and Fish Cleaning Station open again?

Susan! As acting Sheriff, do something! Poor Mr. Fleeblemyster is running down the street yelling WW3 has started, and he is only wearing polka dot shorts!

    OK, OK… I’ll go talk to her….

Mrs. Zimmer! A word, if you please….

(grumble….) I hate sheriffin’ …. I wish they would let the Monkey come back!

    MONKEEE!!!!!

Are you back in jail or still in Turdmunkestan?

Either way, I guess it doesn’t help.

Mrs. Zimmer, listen here. We can’t have you strafing innocent neighbors.

    Because it’s against the law.

    And besides, it isn’t nice.

    And Santa will know.

Put the plane away until you get a a non-flying winged vehicle pilot’s license…

The test costs $11.33, but I’d study first, if I were you.

    You also need a permit for a non-flying winged vehicle…. that’s $94.73 …

Come on down to City Hall on Monday, and I’ll give you the test booklet… yes, it’s free.

You can buy the permit then, if you like…. and take the test any Thursday after 3pm.

If you pass, the license is $43.27.

Now take off the plane and go apologise to Mr. Fleeblemyster. And Harold Jones…. and Mrs. Nuttley….

And those poor puppies over on Elm Street.

Meanwhile… as x_Tech suggested, Fly-Kitty-Fly will keep an eye on you.

He used to be a problem, himself, till we deputized him.

Now he loves to watch for lawbreakers.

    OK, Rose?

Oh Monkey, I wish you could tell me what to do.

Probably should have that hole in the bottom of the plane fixed before the next sortie.

I suspect that when the Ballard Street dogs get wind of this she is going to end up a bit overwhelmed.

Wow, a female taking a turn off the straight and narrow path. Seldom where it’s not the male heading to left field in this strip.

From the condition of the grass and the prop, her wing-mounted Lewis gun is fully functional.

At the risk of sounding as looney as Mrs. Zimmer, my first thought on seeing this cartoon was how easy the Sopwith Camel and Fokkers would be to build for a Veteran’s Day Parade. What a well thought out template design Jerry.
