    The same thing happened to me once. I went into the woods to find my ball, leaving my clubs on the fairway. My father picked them up and drove off on the cart without letting me know, so I spent ten minutes looking for my golfbag.

    What’s the penalty when you have to carry your ball all the way to the green because your partner has driven off with your clubs? I think I counted it as four strokes — three for the ball and one for me.

    Charlie Brown is hunting in what we affectionately call “the elephants’ graveyard” – because the grass is so tall that if an elephant died in there, you’d never find it.
