I love the way Schroeder is smiling in the third cel. Being able to play music we love in our homes whenever we want to hear it is so wonderful. I hope his LP also contains Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude.

We played the pipe for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn. – Matthew 11:17 (NIV)

Chopin? Dirge? Sounds like he’s talking the most famous funeral march.

Ugh, I just found out I don’t have Chopin’s Sonata No.2 in B flat minor Op35 – III Marche Funebre on my MP3 anymore. A few months ago I tried connecting my MP3 to my tablet to listen to music on the tablet and it wipeed out most of my library on the MP3, including my entire Halloween playlist. I’ve got it elsewhere so I can add it back to my MP3, but I’m just annoyed with myself that I haven’t already added the Funeral March back to my MP3 along with most of the rest of my Halloween playlist.

I’ve been listening to classical music for 40 years – and had never seen a Funeral March be called a dirge!
