how long until Linus’ blanket is blue?

Lucy was more supportive of the blanket at one point, always interests me.

The trouble with a blanket is, they’re only as warm as the person using it.

These days the “blanket burrito” has come into its own for adults.

Adults got hands!

“Dry goods”. Now there’s an old-fashioned sounding term.

Is this the first apearance of Linus’ blanket?

i could use one of those!

Linus’ blanket is made out of the same material as Al Borland’s shirt.

I thought Linus’s blanket was blue. I’ve never seen it portrayed in yellow.

I looked up “outing flannel”, and found that it’s a “type of flannelette with a short nap on both sides”. If Linus feels like taking a short nap, that must be helpful.

You can tell this was from the early days of “Peanuts” with seeing an adult’s arm and Lucy actually being okay with Linus clinging to a blanket.

Nowadays “outing flannel” has a different connotation.

I had never come across the term “outing flannel” so I consulted Webster’s Dictionary. Outing flannel is defined as: “a flannelette sometimes having an admixture of wool.” Learn something new nearly every day on GC.

Originally Linus was much younger than Charlie Brown but eventually caught up to him in age.

As a very long-time Peanuts reader, that blanket is supposed to be Blue.

Charlie Brown could have said he was buying the flannel for his little sister. Or a “friend.”

I had a security blanket until I was 5. It disappeared and years later my mother told me she “hid it” when we were packing to move to a new house and I soon forgot about it.

Love Linus’s expressions as the older kids are talking all around him and grabbing at his most prized possession.

He should have kept that blanket

Charlie Brown and Lucy both talk and act as though Linus was not there, first Lucy yanking away his blanket and then Charlie Brown casually dumping it over his head. Not nice.

Linus ultimately becomes charlie browns best friend, My favorites are the ones with CB and Linus on a brick wall waxing philosophical! I still think about those a lot!!
