Anyone able to remember the Dilbert animated TV series? There was once a co-worker of the cubicle clique named Loud Howard who REALLY HAD A NORMAL SPEAKING VOICE!
I can see why Miss Braun had a short life in the Strip. I believe she was one of the reasons Schulz was reluctant to have the early strips released in books. Charlotte Braun, Snoopy being just a dog, Charlie Brown not acting very Charlie Brown-ish, Linus and Schroeder as just infants. Me, I love to see how the strip evolved.
I was just thinking , she would be okay these days , as a little girl when I was growing up , was very loud, though it was because I was competing to be heard through a large family.Charlotte popped up in another Peanuts vlog recently, It was interesting to see one of her original strips today.
Don’t know about anyone else but as I was reading this and her voice kept getting louder I was thinking about Who Framed Roger Rabbit? where Christopher Llyod’s character, Judge Doom, turned into a toon and was torturing Eddie with that high pitched voice when Eddie realized it was him who killed Eddie’s brother.

In modern times, she’d be the one typing all caps all the time.

Hmm, she was rather annoying, wasn’t she?

If her loud voice was her only attribute, no wonder Schulz dumped this character. Guess he forgot he the artist could modify the character.

Does Snoopy have any ear drums left?

People with hearing deficits quite often speak louder than those with normal hearing. Perhaps she is partly deaf.
