I love living in the north. I love skating on a pond and skiing. I even love shoveling snow within reason. Once I adjust to the colder temps, 15 degrees Fahrenheit is pleasant. And last night, the moonlight glistening on the snow-covered field was magical.
I like having the seasons change. It always gives us something to look forward to! Besides with the snow & cold it keeps bugs down to a decent size, ever seen a pack of palmetto bugs? Brrrrr

Yeah, those Celsius temperatures are deceiving to those of us used to Fahrenheit. Though right now, 29°F sounds warm! It’s only 19° now (11:30am, CST), and that is warmer than it has been the last two days.
It’s 7 (Fahrenheit) here in the “banana belt” of the U.P. (for non-Midwesterners, that the part of Michigan that’s attached to Wisconsin)

I agree- PHX is a little cold in the morning but I can usually sit out in the front garden and read most winter days (I use the back garden which is north on hot days).
I’m with Rudy. If you lived in a tropical paradise like this, why in the world would you want to go someplace that’s cold?!?
Meanwhile, it’s currently 27 degrees F. where I live in Indiana, which is a little bit warmer than it was yesterday (it was 8 degrees for the low, 22 degrees for the high).

Teresa, the last I heard we won’t get anything frozen in Columbia until Tuesday. We have four seasons in SC, but the two moderate ones are pretty short, and one doesn’t normally have snow. The hot one is pretty bad in Columbia and the rest of the central part, but on the coast and in the mountains the heat’s not so oppressive. I saw enough snow in Chapel Hill NC during college; don’t need any more here.
