reminds me of the “The Cosby Show” episode where Cliff decides to barbecue in the middle of winter…https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0547064/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_128
One year, in the early years of our marriage, my husband & I lived in an apartment house where most of the surrounding houses were occupied by older people. That year a blizzard knocked out power in our city for a few days. We bought a bunch of cans of Dinty Moore beef stew, pulled out our charcoal grill, and had a big pan of stew and hot water for instant coffee or tea ready for our neighbors until we got our power back…and our section was the LAST in the city to do so. (Side note: one day a friend invited us over for a REAL hot breakfast and warm showers. When we pulled into his apartment complex one of his neighbors was brushing off his car. My husband said to him, “So, you guys got your power back, huh?” “Yeah,” the neighbor shrugged, “but we still don’t have CABLE!”)
Love this story!! We have surf and turf for Christmas every year so there have been some exciting grill moments. I have a pix of hubby at the grill and the snow is 2 feet deep.

If you have to “explain again”, don’t bother.
When they were small, sometimes my kids would shovel a path to the grill on the deck.Teto85 Premium Member almost 6 years ago
The path to the cheeseburger/chicken/steak/sausage/veggie grilling machine is aways easily navigable no matter the weather.

Corky, if you have to Explain it to her, it’s just not going to work.
The “Warmth & Encouragement” has to be Spontaneous.

Abby, on occasion, shows some hope. But this time, I think she is lost. She is a blonde, blow in her ear to wake her up.
