I remember a commercial: a foggy twilight, a train pulling away. A woman is standing on the back of the train looking out, and a man watching her pull away. Man’s voiceover: “I’ll never forget her. Her hair was as golden as a wheatfield. Her eyes were as brown as…as brown as…[rewind sound]…as BLUE as a summer sky…” It was an ad for colored contact lenses. As a brown-eyed girl, I despised this commercial.
This brings back memories of dissecting a frog in Grade 11 Biology. Eyeballs are not squishy, they’re actually quite tough. Thank you for the memory. Ugh.
Did you know today France figured out why the Garfield phones kept being found in the beach? https://www.sfgate.com/weird/article/garfield-phones-france-beach-mystery-13724176.php

No wonder Liz does not have any children and score another one for Jim Davis’ “art” shortcuts.

Jon, you’re a hopeless romantic, with an emphasis on the “hopeless” part!

Strange? She keeps coming back? “It’s not her fault she is just drawn that way.”

Is that any worse than “Your nose is like a tower of Lebanon, which looks toward Damascus”? (It worked for King Solomon.)
