Siddhartha found enlightenment by the Bodhi tree. Sluggo, by the snowman. https://acadiaworldtraders.net/products/copy-of-teaching-buddha-statue-vitarka-mudra-handmade-suar-wood-carving
What I love is that Sluggo created a snowman in his own. Sluggo and snowman both lying down, both propped up on their elbows, both gazing at their little hand held devices.
Earlier I said that panel 2 would function as surreally funny even if abstracted away from the context of the strip. But I think I was so taken by it that I missed the obvious fact that panel 3 is beautiful, wonderful all by itself. I wish I could buy that panel alone as a print.

Calvin perfected the snowman joke, but Nancy was there first:

As I recall in the 50s part of Sluggo’s persona was laziness.

Sluggo… a true “Type B” personality…. that we can all learn from…. he even manages to display that trait of himself in his work… his art.

This was great. More like this and less about Robotics please.

I see that perspective is still a part of Nancy comics humor.

At least it isn’t one of Calvin’s snowmen.

We just got a fresh dump of snow here in Kansas City… I’m now inspired to go outside and recreate this scene IRL B^)
