hahahahaha, just the sheer malice, anger and disgust. It’s so perfect. His expression in the final panel has stuck with me for more than twenty-five years. He’s SO annoyed with everyone around him, and life in general. It’s amazing.

Appetite for destruction. Calvin, maybe you have a future as the leader of a death metal band!

As a child, you often think the world should revolve around you. Some people never grow up.

I mean, it’s not everyone, but you could always just try and find your way into the Marvel movies.

Heh, Calvin says Mr. Bighead’s catchphrase from “Rocko’s Modern Life” in the second panel! Even though this particular strip predated the show by over four years…

Gotta love the Calvin grumpy face! Nothing like it! So funny.

I think Watterson stopped the strip because he couldn’t figure out a way to keep Calvin from being a sociopath with psychotic tendencies.

But you’d have to spare the people at the Frosty Sugar Bombs factory, and at least two farms; plus one gas station and its infrastructure; then there’s the power company and maybe all the nuclear control and operations people so they don’t melt down & kill a bunch of animals…one TV station & crew, for Saturday morning cartoons, and…

There it is…

Bill Watterson was great at drawing grumpy faces.

This one is my all time favorite. :D
