And there they rest, amid the sole remaining bouquet of dandelions, the Three Musketooges. Opus, William, and Rosebud.

Opus is at peace with the trivial nature of existence.

Berkeley is reminding us that we should all have a simple, blissful, worry-free place that we can get to whenever needed. Dagwood has his couch and Rose has her let-things-be tree. Charlie Brown has none; thus many strips end with a sigh.

And NOW you know why Aliens have never tried to contact us! They’ve been monitoring all that crap for years, and they KNOW BETTER then to come. Would YOU want to visit an insane asylum uninvited??

Um. . .not really. We’re on one of the outside arms of a relatively small galaxy in the universe. I have a great poster that’s nothing but stars and galaxies. In one corner, a very tiny arrow points to a miniscule star with a sign on it that says: “You are here.” Always reminds me of the first chapter in “Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”

But, hey, Opus, don’t let reality get in the way of self-adoration. . .or. . .“It’s all in the way you look at it.”

Opus, you are wrong. I am the center of the universe. Duh!

Human nature

No, no. If we are talking about what exists at the center of the STUPID universe, then that distinction clearly goes to the BLOATUS SCROTUS TOTUS, and all the MAGA-hatted idiots are orbiting around him.

Opus in the remnants of the dandelion patch, in bliss, in spite of the fact that it is only a remnant of a great dandelion field is a metaphor for humanity on earth. Mindlessly clutching the phone, happy, in a devastated ecology.

And Berke, you do a cartoon under your name, why?

I think what he’s saying is that many of us appear to believe that we are the Center and it all revolves around us.. it would certainly explain a few things going on..
