    Not that anybody cares, but no dog eats to savor their meal – they eat to stave off starvation, mostly, never knowing where their next meal is coming from. Being a “picky eater” is a ‘learned’ characteristic which the dogs so designated, have learned that garners something they crave, usually human attention (or hopefully, ‘better’ food, like that steak that “mom” and “dad” just ate).

    My dogs eat like this, until I leave the room. Then within about two minutes, they’re looking for me to see where I went. They won’t start eating again until I walk back to the room where the food is.
