Why do so many people have a phobia about spiders? Spiders are our friends. They kill all sorts of dirty, nasty insects. Have you ever seen a spider kill a cockroach or a fly? They are amazingly fast.
When I worked in the fleet business, we had a client in TX who parked his car over a red fire ant hill. The next morning his entire car was infested with red fire ants!
I could not drive with a spider in the car. I would have to remove it first.
Buy Opal a bug vacuum. Earl would still have to empty the contraption, but at least Opal could feel confident of getting rid of the wee beastie without needing to touch it.
All I know is that if there is a spider in my car I’m the only thing it can kill and my dad ruined for me when he told me at 5 or 6 years old, spiders can jump 15 feet! All the proof I need!

My dyslexia kicked in, and at first I read this as Earl saying, “Did you just get out of that there taxi?” For a second I thought they were in ’bama.

I’m wouldn’t be surprised if she set fire to the car, one of these days after finding a bunch of spiders in the car.

A few years ago, a quarter-sized spider dropped from the sun visor onto my steering wheel hub, and I took out a mail box.

Most of the spiders do not like us at all and will run away.

Those dirty, nasty insects are part of the food chain as you mentioned.
