Why do I get the feeling that this will NOT end well?

I can relate; I used to really stress out about calling a girl. I finally wised up; thankfully!

This sounds like my wife. You have to call the service department. I don’t know what to say. And be sure to tell them this and tell them about that and don’t forget this other thing to tell them. So I make the call and she gets ticked off because I didn’t say exactly what she would have said which she claimed she didn’t know to say.

I think I agree with Gordon here. “there’s a great show on tonight”? “meet us at the mall”? Gordon really doesn’t know what to say.

Oh come on Gordon, do it yourself! If Mike calls she may get the impression he likes her and that could backfire badly for you.

It’s always easier to tell somebody else what to say, than to say it yourself.Seems to be the core of a lot of Internet communication too.
