In college our Electromagnetics instructor had a similar philosophy. He was a young guy and played trombone in a small band with his friends.
He said if someone ever told him he was a lousy trombone player he’d just say “Well, I’m actually an Electrical Engineer.” If someone ever told him he was a lousy Electrical Engineer he’d just say “Well, I’m actually a trombone player.”
I have a Mazda Miata convertible that’s as old as I am, in car years. (similar to “dog years”) I can only drive it about 6 months in the year, and it hibernates the rest. A convertible is definitely a wondrous thing to have.
The secret of living is to be thankful for what you have, help out your fellow man, take care to preserve our Earth and the creatures on it, take your place in society and be a good citizen, keep your personal spaces clean, speak up when necessary and keep your mouth shut at other times.
