I flown coast to coast on UA for business several times and my employer would only reimburse for coach/economy and United was the one that gave them the lowest rates as the “contract carrier.” Punishment enough for any crime short of treason. One time I was in the middle seat of the last row on a B757 right in front of the can. Couldn’t recline the seat and stuffed in between two rather hefty people for nearly 6 hours. That was the last time I went to DC.
