Yeah, she heard the part about the allowance. She’s thinking about withholding it for the next 6 months and using it to buy something nice for herself.

Mom make a lot of allowances, Calvin. They do.

Should have gotten help from Hobbes.

Leave it to Calvin to make Mother’s Day all about himself!

Gee I wonder what his Father’s day card is gonna say in a few months.

Calvin may have a future in Hallmark’s humor section.

Poem’s end reminds me of today’s “Daddy’s Home” with her getting from son a $10-off coupon for a video game.

At least this was written with all his heart.

A typical Calvin reply, he never lets us down.

Good rhyme and scansion, though.

And we know that in years to come, Mom will love this card the most out of all that Calvin will make. Mom’s are like that, yeah they are.

I love how Dad just turned his back on her and didn’t say a word. I guess he didn’t get her anything.

Just the kind of Mother’s Day card I would expect from Calvin.

Unfortunately my kid (age 24) pulled this last year. Messages me, from her place. “Hey lets go get coffee” “You buying?” “No but you get to spend time with me”….. we didn’t go.

now that kid would want tomake me forget about being a mom!!!

The kid’s a freakin’ super-genius. She should be thankful to have had him.

A dachshund would never have written her a poem… so there’s that for Mom.

The ending of that card sounds like something younger me would have put in a card.

I’d give him something to remember me by: my foot print on his butt.

She’s deeply moved… Next stop, the bathroom…

“Here, son, let me fix you a banana for breakfast.”

No more allowance. We’re spending it on birth control.

Calvin only does things for others if it is his own best interest. He is a born CEO.

I LOVE Calvin and think this is definitely the Perfect Mothers’ Day for him to give. It is him!!

The kid’s honest anyway. Many kids would think this but few would have the cheek to say it.

Even all these years later, I’m still trying to decide what careers Calvin’s skills line him up for. Possibly politician, but other than that…

Oh that boy!

Calvin smiles because he’s her son, he laughs because there’s nothing she can do about it.

I love the sweet kid-mother interaction!

I’m so glad I don’t have a kid like Calvin! My baby sat & watched TV with all afternoon! We watched stuff we both like! The Avengers, Spiderman, The Hulk, Thor….etc.!!!

Hard to believe this kid even gets an allowance. He doesn’t deserve one
