I know the feeling. Sometimes at the grocery store I get stuck in an aisle with an older lady whose sense of smell is no longer acute enough to know she has too much perfume on.
Earl says, “I douse on the Old Spice pretty heavy so I don’t have to smell old lady all day.” Then the kid stuffs some Play-Doh in his nostrils and agrees with an “Uh huh!”
Random question: I’ve been trying to find an old Pickles comic strip in which for a few days (perhaps a full week of dailies), Nelson been talking with Grandpa Earl about existence. Nelson asked Earl how did they know they existed. Earl advised him to turn around and look for his name in the back of his underwear. That’s how he knew he existed. This particular strip was a black and white daily and it was online so 1999 or later. Does anyone know where to find this strip or possibly the date for it? I had a print out of it at one point and have misplaced it. Thanks!

What does Play-Doh even smell like? It has been an awfully long time since I last played therewith.

If she has a problem with Old Spice, she could suggest a different brand to Earl.

It has a unique odor. It smells like… Play-Doh.

Earl should dab some Old Spice on Nelson, then start playing with the Play-Doh, too… then maybe Opal will escape to the yarn store without company!!

That feeling is from reading the headlines in Earl’s paper.

She should Patent the smell and put it on the market. Then who ever wanted to could feel like they were “Floating Above their Body.”
