    Hubby once took an expensive cooking class. The chef burnt the dish then said that is what makes the dish French. So now if it is burnt – “It is French! ha ha !” (said with the Jacques Clouseau accent )

    My mother’s toast – burnt black then scrapped to a golden brown. She always told us the charcoal bits were good for us.

    Burnt food can make the cook smarter, if he has enough sense to not repeat the actions that burnt the food in the beginning.
