Completely different “The Avengers” but a good answer nonetheless. Emma Peel, though, man….MMMMM <3 <3 <3

I never watched The Avengers, but I did watch The Avengers (I loved that show).

Mr. Knight, I can’t argue with that at all.

Diana Rigg in leather was a rite of passage for many of us.

The name was a pun: Emma Peel=M appeal=Man appeal.

I still remember my mother using the fact that Dianna Rigg was in the cast to get me to watch a one-time CBS airing of “A Midsummer’s Night Dream”. She told me Emma Peel was in it and no red-blooded American boy could resist that back in the mid-’60s. That started a lifelong love of Shakespeare. My lifelong love of Dianna Rigg had already started.

I still like John Steed, his Bentley, and the steel-rimmed Bowler, which predated Oddjob’s by several years! And he was pretty lethal with an umbrella, too!

Perfect.

Gosh! Memories as a young man. Wow. And my surprise to find her in Game of Thrones … holding her own at 80 years old.

And her daughter is looking pretty good as well.

fun tangent for me – one of the “Avenger” girls in the early part of the series was a British actress with my (married) name. We were born in the same month but exactly 20 years apart. :o)

Mr. Steed was no slouch, either.

My wife got me the Steed/Peel Avengers collection on DVD for Christmas a couple of years back… I believe I’m needed… 8^D
