who knew ants had noses. Maybe it’s an anteater that has a better sense of smell.

Believe it or not… I don’t! A person with two pupils would be completely blind. Even if he was real, the story of his life is inconsistent with that of a blind person.

So the blood hounds will eventually lose their jobs to blood ants. Fine. Quieter.

Liu Ch’ong looks to me to have two corneas, two irises as well as two pupils! This is rare but I don’t believe it’s the only case in medical history!

If a dog has over 300 scent receptors, how many does an ant have? And where are they since the don’t have “noses”?

This guy was in the first Ripley’s book, way back when.

I absorbed that whole book, with lots of stories and explanations.

Oh, so wonderful. Just filled with such exotic stuff. Impressive to a youngster like me at the time.

And then there was that visit of a lifetime, at the time,,,a family visit to the St. Augustine, Florida, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum with the shrunken head and the world’s largest boot and all. Lifelong fascination with Mr. Ripley, his drawings and the stuff uncovered by him and Norbert Pearlroth, his main researcher.

Well, I’m not surprised. No wonder ants often crash picnics.
